Paragraph 1 & 2: Food as a Global Experience

Food is more than just refuelling. It is a way to enjoy the abundant variety of this world. Depending on mood, people may opt for a savoury dish flavoured with many spices. Barbecues are a favourite culture-wide. Noodles, a staple in Asia, are nutritious and filling. To remove any bad aftertaste, nearly everyone appreciates something sweet like a sundae or cake for dessert.

Paragraph 3: Learning to Cook

Many wish to prepare dishes themselves. Parents often pass their skill on, sometimes out of necessity. Others are self-taught or invest in studying the culinary arts at school to open their own bakery or restaurant.

Paragraph 4: The Skill of Cooking

It requires much patience to study the different aspects of cooking. A person needs to learn how to use different kitchen knives to chop, skin, and fillet. There are also many machines like the blender, mixer, oven, and microwave. Therefore, cooking is not just a chore; it is a craft. If you have a passion for it, it becomes an art.
