Paragraph 1 & 2: Why We Need Friends
While the family is often the first circle, friends are a very close second. Sometimes family members may be too strict. Since parents are from a different generation, their ways may be too old-fashioned, unlike friends that are on the same wavelength. Therefore, everyone needs a good friend to confide in.
Paragraph 3: Qualities of a Good Friend
Regardless of personality, most people value friends who are loyal, trustworthy, and dependable. With such friends, you do not need to worry about them stabbing you in the back by revealing secrets or taking advantage of your generosity. Older friends provide wisdom, while younger ones help us remember the spontaneity of life.
Paragraph 4: Why Friendships Fade
However, despite a great start, sometimes friendships fade away. Interests change as we mature. Another reason is distance or busyness. Married life or migration elsewhere might prevent friends from keeping in touch.
Paragraph 5: Maintaining Bonds
Maintaining good friendships requires conscious effort. Despite the existence of communication technology, friends must be willing to make time to message and call one another regularly.
