Planting trees is very important. Some people says that trees should be planted in the vacant areas of cities and town, while others says that housing facilities should be build instead. Do you agree or disagree?

It is often argued that empty land in urban areas should be used for planting trees, while others believe that build more houses1 is a better solution. In my opinion, I agree that increasing green spaces is more beneficial for the long-term environmental health2.
On the one hand, providing more housing is necessary because the population in cities are increasing3 rapidly. Many people migrate to towns to find jobs, which creates a shortage of the accommodations4. If the government build housing facilities5 in vacant lots, it can help reduce house prices and help poor families. However, this could lead to cities becoming “concrete jungles” without any fresh air.
On the other hand, I believe that planting trees brings more significant advantages. Firstly, trees help to reduce the air pollutions6 by absorbing carbon dioxide and providing oxygen. This is vital for the health of the citizens7 who live in crowded areas. Secondly, green spaces provide a place for people to relax and doing exercise8. For instance, a park in the middle of a busy city can improve the mental well-being of residents, making urban life more comfort9.
In conclusion, although building houses is important to solve the population problem, I believe that planting trees should be prioritized. Maintaining a balance between infrastructure and nature is essential for a sustainable develop10.
